Tribute to Rev Fr Anthony Wan

Died 20th August 2019

Father Anthony Wan of the Miri Catholic Church was laid to rest at the Catholic cemetery after some 3,000 people bade him a final farewell.
Father Wan, 60, who often walked for hours in the deep jungle to reach Catholics living in remote areas, died on Thursday night of heart failure on 20th August 2009.
His funeral service was presided over by head of the Miri Catholic Diocese Reverend Bishop Anthony Lee Kok Hin.  Read More....

Bishop Richard Ng of Miri Diocese informed the news  of his passing in an obituary notice.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Rev Fr John Chia Fu Hin on 31 March 2020 at 10:07am at Bintulu Hospital. He died of multiple organs failure.”Fr John had been feeling unwell for the past two weeks. When his health did not improve after receiving treatment at the health clinic in Sg Asap, he was transferred to Bintulu Hospital on 29 March and diagnosed with severe pneumonia

Tribute to Rev Fr Basil Entili ak  John

Basil was born on 14 March 1968 to John Anak Ajin and Ranggu Anak Saban from Rumah Boniface Bada, Sungai Sengga, Suai, Niah. Basil has a brother and three sisters. He had his primary education in Chung Hua Primary School, Bakong and his secondary education in SMK Bakong and SMK Lutong



 Tribute to Rev Fr. Hermann Plattner
 Miri




Fr Hermann Plattner passed away peacefully at 12:30p.m on 27th June at the age of 93 in Italy.
Fr. Plattner was very well known as he had served in Sarawak for 51 years before retiring to Italy in 2000. A requiem mass was held at the Carmelite Chapel Miri on Monday, 4th July at 7:30pm
