More than 3,000 parishioners witnessed the two Deacons as they took their vows of celibacy and obedience at the ordination ceremony at the St Dominic and the Rosary Church in Taman Tunku.We pray that God will grant them peace and joy in their heart as they follow in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ in spreading the Good News of the Gospel to His flock here in northern Sarawak.
"Lord, thank you for a wonderful day. May your goodness and love be present amongst us today. We surrender all to You this day, forsaking our own will that only Your will be accomplished in the earth. Holy Mother of God, intercede for us. Be with us. "Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
Father Martin Vincent said he is grateful to God for the chance to be able to serve as a shepherd in His Church.He pledged to do his best to bring the Good News of Christ to the parishioners of Belaga where he will be serving.
Father Martin Vincent will be attached to the Sungai Asap parish while Father Sylvester Ngau will be serving in the Miri Parish.
