Saturday 26th September 2020 marked the first pastoral visit since Covid19 lockdown MCO movement control order 18th March 2020.
The journey by road Miri to Rumah Belilie, Ulu Niah recorded 107.5 km distance where Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng, Monsignor Reverend Fr. Francis Kuleh and Reverend Fr. Anthony Livin celebrated sunset Mass at the 67-door Iban longhouse (23 doors Catholics) situated 34 km away from Batu Niah town. Around 60 parishioners participated in the sunset Iban Mass.
On Sunday 27th September 2020 two Masses in Iban 8.30am and 10.30am were celebrated at St Michael Church, Batu Niah where Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng administered Sacrament of Confirmation to 75 candidates, 47 confirmants seated inside the church and 28 confirmants seated outside the church following SOP social distancing.
Monsignor Reverend Fr. Francis Kuleh is the Rector of St Michael Parish, Batu Niah serving 66 longhouses, logging camps and plantations.
Reverend Fr. Anthony Livin also serves in St Michael Parish.
