Although a broadcasted Mass is never a substitute for the obligation to assist/ attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, Catholic Faithful have been dispensed from this obligation by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Malaysia-Singapore-Brunei. With the suspension of public Masses on Sundays and weekdays, watching a televised Masses could serve as a form of spiritual “devotion.”
