Missionary Visit to Tubau 2016

The missionary journey to Tubau clocked 400km return by road to Rumah Rentap, Rasan, Tubau where Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng together with Fr. John Chia and Fr. Sylvester Ngau celebrated sunset mass at the 14 doors Iban Longhouse on Saturday 10th September 2016.

The following day 11th September 2016 Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng and Fr. Sylvester Ngau celebrated Sunday morning mass at Uma Gong Laing, Sungei Tubau a 20 doors Kayan Longhouse.  59 candidates received the sacrament of confirmation with 200 parishioners participating in the mass service. A chapel 100+ capacity Gereja Katolik St Matthew, Uma Tevok Tubau still in service was built 10 years ago next to the Longhouse.
