Rumah Gisa situated near the river bank of Sungei Tatau celebrated 50 years anniversary on 17th September, 2016 to mark the historical triumph of Christianity when the late Fr. Matthew Kanepan evangelized the Ibans at the old longhouse before they split into different longhouses. Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng celebrated his first sunset mass at Rumah Gisa, a 19 doors Iban longhouse followed by cutting of cake 50 years anniversary 17th September, 1966 to 17th September, 2016.
The following day, 85 parishioners received Sacrament of Confirmation at Gereja St. Peter, Tatau.
