Pastoral visit to Limbang & Lawas Parish 12th November to 13th November 2016.
The entire journey by road registered 665 km from Miri to St Edmund parish, Limbang enroute to St Martin church, Lawas and a visit to St Michael chapel, Nanga Medamit, Limbang before returning to Miri.
Lawas is situated at the most northern end of Miri Diocese close to Sabah border.
Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng celebrated sunset mass at Gereja Katolik St Martin, Lawas on Saturday 12th November 2016. The church will be demolished and rebuilt in 2017.
On Sunday 13th November 2016, Right Reverend Bishop Richard Ng and Fr.Peter Hwang ministered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 80 parishioners during the Mass service at Gereja Katolik St Edmund, Limbang. The church was fully packed inside and outside during the mass service.
A short visit to Gereja Katolik St Michael, Nanga Medamit, Limbang on the way back to Miri. There is a plan to extend St Michael chapel for increased capacity. The chapel St Michael was built in 1983
